Dialing out to speakers

Dial out to speakers or external systems

ℹ️ **This feature is intended to be used as backup (e.g. when speaker unexpectedly drops from web studio), or when dialling to international numbers. Please always use number in USA whenever possible (e.g. with Teams).

Let us know (support@videosync.fi) if your workflow requires significant amount of international Dial out calls. We are evaluating possibility to have local dial out number(s) in needed countries.**

If your web studio has teleconferencing enabled, you can dial out to speakers’ phone from Web studio.

You can dial out from Web studio by navigating to Event settings → Dial out to speaker → Make call

In the Make call modal you’ll fill in

• Speaker name: Name for identifying participant in Web Studio
• Speaker Number: Where to call
• Pin: only if you call into Teams or similar system requiring a pin. You may need to add “,,” before pin

Then dial out to speaker by either clicking Call or Backup call

Call:

Speaker receives the call from US number (+1 315 353-9111) and joins directly to Web Studio and displays their name in the speakers list. This is the preferred method for most situations.

Backup call:

Speaker receives the call from US number (+1 774-323-4400) and joins via the teleconferencing system and displays their name among teleconference participants on People tab. Please “Setup Live” before making the call. Backup callers are automatically disconnected on “End Live”.

Calling to Teams:

When dialing into a Teams call, please use a number in a US location (+1). Additional Teams numbers can be found by clicking “Find a local number” in the meeting invite.
